What have I been up to this month? It feels like it’s been a quiet month, I think I’ve just been winding down until the new year. I ended up only working 4 day weeks until the 18th when I finished for the year. So it’s been a pretty slow December.
I know what I haven’t done and that is write any code outside of work. I feel like I’ve been under weather most of the month and feeling pretty tired. So just haven’t been feeling motivated to learn any more Go.
I didn’t get much reading done either, re-reading books with the hope that I get new ones at christmas. I finished off Hydrogen Sonata which was good. Read Dark Eden again, which was fun. And started re-reading The Windup Girl.
I managed to be a bit more consistent with my running, getting out a couple of times a week. I decided that I want to be able to run 10k in February, so I’ve been trying to follow my Garmin’s daily suggested work outs. I haven’t followed it every day but I still got out more, so fingers crossed. I went out on my last hill walk of the year. Up Meall a’ Bhuachaille which is in the Caringorms. It was a nice walk, harder than I expected because I’d not been out much in November. It included walking past An Lochan Uaine which was very striking. It was my first time up in the Cairngorms, I plan to go back some more, both walking and by bike.
